V. Monahan One of Speakers Special to the Tribune. Lewistown, August 22. - Eighty members of Sacred Heart parish of this place attended the 116th anniversary service of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic church of Doylesburg. Rev. Father Phelan, of the cathedral at Harrisburg, celebrated the field mass, the little church being too small to accommodate half of those present, and read the church history. Father F. C. Noel, of Chambersburg; Frank P. Duggan, Lewistown, and B. V. Monahan, Altoona, were the speakers. The original church building was erected in 1802 and remodeled in 1850. Father F. C. Noel spoke in a reminiscent way telling many interesting incidents during his years of missionary work in Path Valley. Altoona Tribune, Friday morning, August 23, 1918, page 5
