 Village record: (Waynesboro', Pa.) 1863-1871: April 25, 1862
Near Jacobs' Church, this County, on the 5th inst., Mr. George Barnhart, Sr., aged
61 years, 6 months and 2 days... While the body now rests in the burying ground
attached to Jacobs' Church, his spirit rests in the home of the blest. May the widow
and her children strive to meet him in glory.
