All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/franklin/ _______________________________________________ Almon Travis Bard, 62, 1024 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, a Franklin County Department of Transportation employee for the past ten years, died at 3:10 PM Saturday, February 6, 1982, in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, MD., where he was a patient for five weeks. Born in Sips Mill October 29, 1919, he was the son of the late Sherman and Goldie Pittman Bard. Mr. Bard was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Church in Harrisonville. Surviving are his wife, Goldie Mellott Bard; a son, Dallas Bard of Chambersburg; two daughters, Delores (Mrs. Keith) Eyers, Chambersburg, and Wavaline Bard, Chambersburg; two brothers: Durkee Bard, McConnellsburg and Elston Bard, Geneva, Fla.; four sisters: Janet Swope and Edna Allison both of Hope Sound, Fla., Margaret Swope of Needmore and Faye Bard of Pleasant Point, W. Va.; and four grandsons. A sister preceded him in death. The funeral was held Tuesday, February 9, in the Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Church, with Rev. Emerson Walker and Rev. Willis Swope officiating.
