Harold R. Bard

     Harold R. Bard, son of R. A. and Alberta Mellott Bard, the later 
preceded him in death several years ago.  Harold was born in Pleasant Grove, 
September 20, 1901, and died January 21, 1939.  He was united in marriage with 
Rhoda M. Garland, September 18, 1920.  To this union five children were born: 
Haverline, Boyd, Harold, Jr. Billie and Wayne.
     The departed comes from a family of five, four of whom are still 
living: Mrs. John Hess, Andover, PA.; Andrew Bard, of Quincy, PA.; Mrs. Paul 
Stepler of St. Thomas, PA.; and Marshall W. Bard at home, also his father R. A. 
and stepmother of St. Thomas, PA.
     Funeral services were held by Rev. Gordon of Ft. Loudon, PA. and Rev. 
Light of Lemaster, PA., at his late home in Ft. Loudon in the M.E. Church of 
which he was a member, on Tuesday at 10 o’clock.  Burial was made in St. Thomas 
Cemetery.
