W. R. Bard, Sr.

     Walter Raymond Bard, Sr., 69, of 1016 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, 
died at his home on Tuesday evening, February 15, 1972, after a long illness.
     Born in Pittsburgh on December 4, 1902, Mr. Bard was a son of the late 
Albert and Cora Hess Bard.
     Surviving is his widow, Amy M. Sipes Bard; three sons: Kermit Bard, 
Walter R. Bard, Jr. and Kenneth Bard, all of Chambersburg.  a daughter: Mrs. 
Mildred Gress, of McConnellsburg; 16 grandchildren and three great 
grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held on Friday, February 18, at 2:PM, form 
Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Church, the Revs. Leonard Wright and Allen Ferguson 
officiating.  Burial was made in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
