Carr, 89, of 40 North Federal street, died Saturday at 6 p.m. at the home of her son, George W. Carr, Baltimore, where she had been taken when she became ill. Mrs. Carr was born July 8, 1856 in Greencastle, the daughter of the late Samuel and Hettie Banrcord Garner. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. Surviving are two daughters and a son: Mrs. Della M. Etchberger, Chambersburg; George, of Baltimore; Mrs. Anna M. Gerber, Brooklyn, NY; a brother, Joseph e. Garner, Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services in charge of Rev. Carroll S. Klug, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Paul Kraiss funeral home; burial in Cedar Grove cemetery [Chambersburg].
