All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/franklin/ _________________________________________ CARR - Charles Hugh Carr, 82, of 317 East Queen Street, who was serving his third term as auditor of Franklin County, died at 9:15 Thursday night (15 Nov. 1945) at the Chambersburg Hospital. Death was due to coronary thrombosis. Mr. Carr was born Oct. 3, 1863, at Milnor, Franklin County, a son of the late James F. and Nancy Belle McCutcheon Carr. He retired as a clerk for the P.R.R. after 38 years employment. Mr. Carr was a life-long member of the Methodist church, and was a member of the official board, and assistant teacher of the Men's Bible Class. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Railroad Relief Association. Surviving are two sons and a daughter, John S., Mrs. Martin Walsh and Roy M. all of Chambersburg; a brother, Sherman Carr, Waynesboro; two grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Revs. Philip T. Gorman and Ralph G. Rarick at the Barbour Funeral home at 2:30 Sunday afternoon; burial in Norland Cemetery.
