JOHN S. CARR, 88, 38 N. Sixth St., employee of the former Pennsylvania RR for 
54 years, died at 9:30 am Jan. 17, 1980, in the Guilford Convalesarium.   
Born April 9, 1891, in Greencastle, he was the son of the late Charles H. and 
Emma Minnich Carr. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and 
the Men's Bible Class and retired from the railroad company in 1960.  His 
wife, Mrs. Mary Foltz Carr, died Sept 8, 1967.  Surviving are a daughter, 
Mrs. Paul (Geraldine) Kriner, 423 Stouffer Ave., two grandchildren; a sister, 
Mrs. Katharine Walsh, 55 S. Second St., and a number of nieces and nephews.  
Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 pm in the John O. Park Funeral Home 
with the Rev. James A. Dile and the Rev. Dr. J. Stewart Glen Sr. officiating. 
Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.   Friends may call at the funeral home 
one hour before services Saturday.
