He was born June 30, 1937 in Pennsylvania, a son of the late Miles and Olie (Doyle) Carr. Carr was an employee of Bob Evans Restaurant in Knoxville. He had a number of relatives in the Waynesboro area. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Carr; three daughters: Wanda Carr and Martha Hester, both of Knoxville, and Betty Horney, Florida; four sons; Jake Carr, Florida; James Carr, Knoxville; Harold Carr, Germany; and Filmore Carr, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Margie Gunder and Mrs. Katherine Gift, both of Pennsylvania; three brothers: Claude T. Carr, Henry Carr and Donald Carr, all of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Olivet Baptist Church, Knoxville, with the Rev. Billy Bell and the Rev. Carl Hancock officiating. Burial will be in the Pollard Cemetery, Kodak, Tenn. Friends may call at the Rose Mortuary, Knoxville, from 7 to 9 tonight.
