Coble, 86, widow of John D. Coble, 250 McKinley St., Chambersburg, died at 5:20 a.m. today at Chambersburg Hospital. She had been ill several days. Born Dec. 9, 1882 at Mowersville, she was a daughter of Abram and Barbara (Wingert) Brechbill. Her husband died May 1, 1955. Mrs. Coble was a member of Second Lutheran Church. Surviving are two sons: F. Eugene Coble, Williamsport, Md., and John D. Coble Jr., St. Thomas; seven daughters, Mrs. Ethel Picking, Chambersburg; Mrs. Frederick Senger, Hagerstown; Mrs. Lelia Snider, Fort Loudon; Mrs. John O. Foreman and Mrs. William N. Pope, St. Thomas R.D. 1; Mrs. Lawrence Foreman, Chambersburg R.D. 8, and Mrs. Michael Shattuck, Chambersburg. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. A sister, Mrs. Naomi Coyle, Rouzerville, also survives. Services at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Paul B. Lucas in charge. Interment in Coble’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
