Dale, 69, of 437 Ramsey Ave., died last evening at 9:10 o'clock at his home after an illness of two months. Born at Greencastle on Feb. 3, 1890, he was a son of the late John A. and Margaret E. Pickle Dale, Mr. Dale was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Columbus Lodge No. 75, IOOF, Olive Branch Encampment and the Cumberland Valley Hose Company. Mr. Dale owned and operated a milk and ice business in the Marion-St. Thomas- Fort Loudon area for 12 years, after which he worked as a painter for a number of years. He retired several years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marguerite Kohler Byers Dale; two sons, Walter C. Dale, RR#1 Waynesboro, and Harold F. Dale, 532 Cumberland Ave.; a step-son, Wayne W. Byers, 185 Highland Road; ten grandchildren; two brothers, A.G. Dale, RR#6, and William S. Dale, Baltimore. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Dale residence, with the Rev. Glenn E. Schultz officiating. Burial will be made in Norland Cemetery.
