DITCH - John Ditch, 88, died Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the family home near Burbank. He was a Civil War veteran and his death leaves one surviving veteran, Peter Spahr, in the community. The deceased is survived by his wife [Mary Elizabeth Carr Ditch], three sons, Sherman and Harry of Burbank and Charles of Canton and one daughter, Mrs. Dorotha Reed of Burbank. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon. Friends will meet at the home at 1:30 o'clock and go to the Burbank Methodist Church for a service at 2 o'clock. The Creston Legion will conduct a service at the grave in the Burbank Cemetery. J. C. Murray is in charge of arrangements.
