DUFFIELD.

S. J. Duffield died on Thursday morning at his home at Duffield, from typhoid 
fever, aged 51 years, 9 months and 17 days.  Mr. Duffield was one of Guilford 
township's best known citizens, and the announcement of his death was a shock to 
his many friends and was heard with deep regret.  He conducted a store at 
Duffield and was a man of strict honesty and had the confidence and respect of 
all who knew him.  He is survived by his wife and these children:  Carrie, 
Bessie, Charles, Olive, Mary, Bertha, Annie and Helen, all at home.  Funeral 
private, services at the Grind Stone Hill church.
