Nursing Home, Chambersburg. She was in failing health since February 1997. Born June 26, 1912 in Guilford Township, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Annie M. Cump Yeager. Early in her life, she resided in the Williamson area. Mrs. Emory was a member of Calvary Chapel Episcopal Church, Beartown. For a number of years, she worked at Waynesboro Shoe Factory. She married Clarence W. Emory in 1927. Afterward, they moved to the Monterey area of Blue Ridge Summit. He died April 22, 1953. Surviving are two daughters, Isabelle M. McCloud of Fairborn, Ohio, and June K. Rotz of Wentzville, Mo; a son, William E. of Waynesboro; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A sister and five brothers also preceded her in death. Service will be at 2 P.M. Thursday in Calvary Chapel Episcopal Church. The Rev. James F. Mole will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service in the church. Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro. __________ Paper dated 5-22-1956 Charles Robert Emory, 44 Waynesboro Rt 4, died at 6:05 this morning at the Waynesboro Hospital. He had under-gone an operation last August at the University Hospital in Baltimore and had recovered and returned to his home. At Christimas time he suffered a relapse and had been confined to the Waynesboro Hospital since May 12. For the last six weeks he was critically ill. He was born at Waynesboro, Rt 4 and son of John E. and Tobitha Patterson Emory. He spend his entire life at Waynesboro Rt 4. For a little while he was employed local industries and for a number of years he was self employed. For the last five years he was electrical inspector at Fairchild Aircraft Corporation. He was a memeber of Calvary Chapel Beartown and the Eagles Club, Inc. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Crilley Emory; two daughters Mryna E. and Elaine E. both at home; three brothers and three sisters, Edward Emory of Monterey; John Emory of Waynesboro, Rt 4, Everett Emory of Gettysburg; Mrs. Elmer Shockey, Mrs John Calimer, both of Waynesboro Rt 4, and Mrs. Thomas Bowers of Waynesboro. Funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from Calvary Chapel Beartown in charge of Rev. J. Boyd Davis. Emory Jr., 57 of 595 Madison Avenue York, died at 9:10 A.M Saturday. Oct 15, 1983 in York Hospital. Born in Washington Township July 10, 1926, he was a son of the late Edward S. and Anna M. Smiley Emory. Of Protestant faith, he lived his early life in the Waynesboro area. He had lived in York for 14 years. While living in Waynesboro, he was employed as a timekeeper at Landis Machine Co. He was a World War II Veteran, serving with the Army in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Emory is survived by one daughter, Crystal Scarbrough of R. R. 5, Shippensburg; one grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce Ingalls of Pennersville. Mrs. Irvin Grissinger of Waynesobor four brothers, Charles R. of Pennersville, John W. of Chambersburg; Willis E. York, and Ellis M. Rouzerville. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services. ______________ William E. Emory, 74 a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home and formerly of 8290 Stottlemyer Road, Waynesboro died at 3:16 PM Sunday Feb 24 2002 in the emergency room of Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health since suffering a stroke in February 1997. Born Oct 12 1927 in Williamson he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Beulah M. (Yeager) Emroy. He lived his early life in Blue Ridge Summit. Mr. Emory attended Waynesboro High School. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II serving in the Philippines. He and his wife Juanita I (Perviance) Emory were married Jan 9 1946 in Hagerstown. They moved to the Stottlemyer Road residence in 1969. He entered the nursing home Feb 25, 1997. Mr. Emory was first employed as a machinist apprentice at Frick Co. Waynesboro. From 1961 until his retirement in 1987, he was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot, Cburg, first as a machinist and then as a supervisor. Mr Emory was a member of the Eagles Club Inc. and Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15 and a life member of William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695 all of Waynesboro. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and sports and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Barbara K. Spessard, Linda M. Doll, and Debra I Hollen, all of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Isabelle McCloud of Ohio and June Rotz of Wentz, MO. and a number of nieces and nephews.
