Mrs. Della M. Etchberger, 77, of 202 S. Second St., died at 9:20 a.m. 
yesterday at the Martin Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown [MD]. she had been in 
ill health for 5 1/2 months. Born Nov. 18, 1883, in Chambersburg, she was the 
daughter of the late David and Annie Garner Carr. She was a member of First 
Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Spanish-American War Veterans auxiliary. 
Mrs. Etchberger was the widow of Charles F. Etchberger, who died in June [28] 
1956. Surviving are a son, John E. Etchberger, 244 S. Sixth St.; a sister, 
Mrs. Anna Gerber, Brooklyn, NY; a brother, George Carr, Baltimore; five 
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 
tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock form the Sellers funeral home in charge of 
the Rev. Roland W. Renkel. Burial will be made in Cedar Grove Cemetery 
[Chambersburg PA]. Friends will be received at the funeral home an hour 
before the services on Tuesday.
