Flory, 74, R.R. 1, Fayetteville, died unexpectedly at 10:52 p.m. Saturday in Chambersburg Hospital after an illness of six months. She was the wife of George F. Flory. Born Aug. 29, 1900, in Elmira, NY, Mrs. Flory was a daughter of the late Eugene and Estella Heess Newell. She was of the Protestant faith. In 1962 she retired from Stanley Manufacturing Co. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons and six daughters: Edward F. Flory, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Mitchell, Mrs. Edgar (Gladys) Stoner, and Mrs. Robert (Grace) Bowman, all of R.R. 1, Fayetteville; Robert D. Flory, Lewiston, Mich.; Ernest L. Flory, Prescott, Ariz.; Sgt. M Garnet E. Flory, Fort Indiantown Gap; Mrs. Wayne (Beatrice) Bowman, R. R. 9; Mrs. Jay (Doris) Bard, 239 E. Catherine St.; Mrs. James (Ruth) Bennett, Scotland; 44 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters: Robert E. Newell, 18 Lincoln Dr. Fayetteville; Charles B. Newell, Orrstown; Mrs. Beatrice Vanderau, 110 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville; Mrs. Nettie Shores, Marion; Mrs. Leda Starr, R.R. 2, Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the John O. Park Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. George S. Mouer. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
