OLD VETERAN GONE

George F. Foreman, one of Waynesboro's oldest and best known citizens and with a 
number of friends here, died Wednesday, aged 81 years.  He was a veteran of the 
Civil War and fought in the Battle of Gettysburg.  He enlisted in Company C, 
17th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry and participated in forty one engagements 
during the war.
