She had spent the day with a neighbor, assisting in the performance of some household duties, and in the evening returned to her home, near Quincy, seemingly in her usual health. Soon after reaching home, she had an attack of heart trouble, and her condition being very alarming, her daughter hastened to the home of a neighbor for assistance. Before she returned her mother was dead. Shortly after the death, a physician came but she had passed beyond all assistance. She was a woman of a kind disposition, an excellent neighbor and was much respected by those who knew her. She is survived by her son Arthur, on of Quincy township's school teachers and also by one daughter, Miss Emma. The funeral was held on Sunday. Interment in the grave yard attached to Hade's church. The sermon was preached by Rev. H. J. Kitzmiller. People's Register, Chambersburg, PA, November 1, 1901
