M. Frey, died on Sunday morning at her temporary home near Graeffensburg, after a protracted illness from consumption, aged 27 years, 10 months and 14 days. In the hope that a change might prove beneficial Mrs. Frey was, at her request and with the consent of the attending physician, removed from her home in Chambersburg to the mountain about ten days previous to her death. For a few days after her removal she seemed to grow better for a few days, but toward the close of last week grew rapidly worse, passing peacefully away on the day named. Mrs. Frey was a daughter of the late John W. and Kate Mahon, and in February 1899, was married to Mr. Frey by whom she is survived. A little son, Paul, also survives. Mrs. Frey was a member of the First Lutheran church of Chambersburg, and was a truly pious woman. Her funeral was held on Tuesday from her late residence on east King street.
