  Charles Montgomery Gipe
  
  Funeral services were held Monday Afternoon at 2:00pm in the Methodist
  Church at Upper Strasburg, PA for Charles Montgomery Gipe, 74, of 382 
  E. Liberty St., Chambersburg, PA who died in Chambersburg Hospital Saturday 
  morning.  The Rev. Wilbur W. Hoak officiated and burial was in the cemetery 
  adjoining the church.
  
  Mr. Gipe, a stone mason by trade, was born in Upper Strasburg on June 23,
  1874, a son of the late George and Emma Mitchell Gipe.
  
  He is survived by his widow, Irene Zeek Gipe, a son and two daughters,
  Charles Eber Gipe of Shippensburg, Mrs. Jerry (Mary Gipe) Vandermark of 
  York and Mrs. Blanche Gipe Blair of the home, 23 grand children,
  13 great-grandchildren, a brother John W. Gipe of Upper Strasburg, 
  2 sisters, Mrs. Percy Oyler of Shippensburg, and Mrs. Luther Kissinger of
  Chambersburg, PA
