Gruber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gruber, died at his home in Reliance, Va., on Friday night last, his death being caused by typhoid fever. He was employed by the Pittsburg Supply company for a number of years and was a man of strict honesty and had many friends. He is survived by his wife and these children: Rev. William Gruber, of Martinsburg, W. Va., Sherts, Benjamin, Mrs. Emma Cooley and Miss Bertha and Grace, all of Reliance. Mrs. Lewis Horn, of Catharine street, Chambersburg, is an aunt. His remains were brought to Chambersburg on Monday evening and laid to rest in Cedar Grove cemetery. People's Register, Chambersburg, PA, September 5, 1902
