T. O. HAMSHER, a native of Lurgan township and a brother of Mrs. J. D. Speer and 
B. Y. Hamsher, Chambersburg, died Monday at his home in Monmouth, Ill., from 
injuries caused by a runaway accident.  He was aged about 66 years, was a 
prominent member of the M. E. church and of the order of I. O. O. F.  Mr. 
Hamsher left here before the war and went west.  He engaged in work as a 
contractor and was one of the most prominent builders in Monmouth for years.  He 
is remembered here by many people with highest regard.
