Hull died on Thursday, August 28th, in Pasidena, California, aged 48 years, 9 months and 6 days. Dr. Hull was a native of Franklin county, having been born in Chambersburg, and was the youngest son of the late Abram S. Hull, for many years master mechanic of the C. V. R. R. He was educated in the public schools of the town and afterward completed a course in the Chambersburg Academy. In 1870 he began the study of pharmacy with the late C. H. Cressler and afterward entered the College of Pharmacy at Philadelphia, graduating therefrom in 1876. During the same year he was elected resident physician and surgeon of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and also of the Philadelphia Hospital, spending the first year in the former and the year 1877 in the latter named institution. In 1878 he returned to his native town and began the practice of his profession, and was very successful, building up a large practice. He was Coroner of the county for two terms, serving as such from 1882 to 1888. His health failing him he went to California, where he has since resided. While a resident of Chambersburg he served as Superintendent of the Trinity Lutheran Sunday school organized in 1890. He was a devoted member of the church named and was deeply interested in everything that tended to further the work. In 1880 he was married to Miss Margaret Barnett, of Philadelphia, by whom he is survived. He is also survived by Miss Ida, Howard, Martin and Margaret; also by one brother, Charles S. Hull, of town.
