King St., wife of Marquis J. Humelsine, died at 6 a.m. Oct. 18, 1981 in the Chambersburg Hospital. She was seriously ill one week. Born in Scotland April 28, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Noah L. and Phoebe Mahon Burkholder Sr. Mrs. Humelsine was a member of the King Street United Brethren Church and its Women's Missionary Association and Mustard Seed Class, the Gideon Auxiliary, Franklin County Nursing Home Auxiliary, the Women's Christian Temperance Union, and a charter member of Franklin County chapter 2287, American Association of Retired Persons. In addition to her widower, she is survived by a son, James M. Humelsine, 257 E. King St.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert E. [Patricia] Wilson, 1538 Park Terrace Drive; three grandchildren; a step grandson; a step great-grandson; five sisters;: Mrs. Lester [Ethel] Knoll, 1054 Lincoln Way West; Mrs. Hubert [Rhea] Fisher, 3831 Creekside Drive; Mrs. Elmer G. [Ida] Martin, 1721 Wilson Ave.; Mrs. Wilbur [Sylvia] Zimmerman, 286 W. Main St., Fayetteville, and Mrs. Harry [Ruth] Stouffer Sr., 1054 Lincoln Way West; a brother, Noah L. Burkholder Jr., 365 E. King St., and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul B. Baker and the Rev. Jerry Traister officiating. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Camp Joy-El Memorial Fund or the Gideon Memorial Bible Fund.
