Mary Mitchell, local pastor, dies FLORY - The Rev. Mary E. Mitchell, 60, 1460 Black Gap Road, Fayetteville, died at 6 p.m. Aug. 10, 1981, in the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born June 22, 1921, in Greene Township, the daughter of the late George F. and Grace Newell Flory. She was pastor of the Harbor Light Temple, Hood Street, where she had ministered for the past 25 years. Prior to that she was an evangelist for seven years. For 23 years she had a radio program with stations WAYZ and WCBG. She was a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. Surviving are her widower, Robert B. Mitchell; two daughters, Mrs. Jack [Nanci] Fisher, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Charles [Janet] Johnson, 1428 Black Gap Road, Fayetteville; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; nine brothers and sisters, Edward F. Flory, 213 E. Main St., Fayetteville, Robert D. Flory, Lewiston, MI; Earnest L. Flory, Safford, Ariz.; Garnet E. Flory, 1856 Black Gap Road, Fayetteville; Mrs. Edgar [Gladys] Stoner, 1918 Hafer Road, Fayetteville; Mrs. Wayne [Beatrice] Bowman, 4660 Sycamore Road; Mrs. Robert [Grace] Bowman, 1085 Black Gap Road, Fayetteville; Mrs. Jay [Doris] Bard, 560 S. Main St.; Mrs. James [Ruth] Bennett, 193 Echo Dr.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Harbor Light Temple, conducted by the Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the John O. Park funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour before the service Thursday.
