Moats Waynesboro, PA Kathleen D. Moats, 69, of 9465 Mentzer Gap Road, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at the Waynesboro Hospital. Born Feb 1, 1934, near Tomstown, Pa., she was the daughter of Glen E. Moats of Waynesboro and the late D. Pauline Rock Moats. She was a 1951 graduate of Quincy High School. Prior to retiring, she was a nanny for Dr. Van Duren's Family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, Fairview Ward, where she was a member of the Women's Relief Society, a top historian of the church, sang in the choir, arranged the music for the Relief Society, was assistant librarian and was active with genealogy. She was a member of National AARP. In addition to her father, she is survived by one daughter, Brooke J. Moats of Waynesboro, four brothers, Robert E. Moats of Mercersburg, Pa; Donald R. Moats and Glen O. Moats, both of Waynesboro, and Earl W. Moats of Fairfield, Pa.; nieces, nephews; and a special friend, Steven Stevenson of Hagerstown. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, Fairview Ward, Waynesboro. Bishop Douglas M. Parks will officiate. Burial will be in Quincy Cemetery, Quincy, Pa. The Family will receive friends Friday at 1 p.m. at the church.
