Monighan, 79, RR#2, died Sunday at 2:50 a.m. in Waynesboro Hospital, after a one week illness. Born Dec. 16, 1892, in Franklin county, he was the son of the late John B. and Ellie F. Monighan. Although a member of Rouserville United Methodist Church, he had for many years attended Greencastle Church of the Brethren. He was employed by J.J. Alleman Electric Co. and was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Florence M. Monighan; one brother, Howard E. Monighan, Mechanicsburg, and three sisters, Mrs. Marlin H. Diehl, Phillipsburg, NJ; Mrs. George Hamill, Hagerstown and Mrs. Marguerite B. Lehn, Chambersburg. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Minnich-Miller funeral home, with the Rev. J. Richard Gottshall and the Rev. Dr. George L. Detweiler in charge. Burial will be in Shank's Church of the Brethren Cemetery, near Greencastle.
