MONIGHAN - Greencastle - Robert J. Monighan, 79, RR#2, died Sunday at 2:50 
a.m. in Waynesboro Hospital, after a one week illness. Born Dec. 16, 1892, in 
Franklin county, he was the son of the late John B. and Ellie F. Monighan. 
Although a member of Rouserville United Methodist Church, he had for many 
years attended Greencastle Church of the Brethren. He was employed by J.J. 
Alleman Electric Co. and was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his 
widow, Mrs. Florence M. Monighan; one brother, Howard E. Monighan, 
Mechanicsburg, and three sisters, Mrs. Marlin H. Diehl, Phillipsburg, NJ; 
Mrs. George Hamill, Hagerstown and Mrs. Marguerite B. Lehn, Chambersburg. 
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Minnich-Miller funeral home, 
with the Rev. J. Richard Gottshall and the Rev. Dr. George L. Detweiler in 
charge. Burial will be in Shank's Church of the Brethren Cemetery, near 
Greencastle. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
