David S. Mowen

David S. Mowen, 143 N. Washington St., Greencastle, died at his home on
Wednesday evening, aged 52 years.  He was a member of the First United Brethren
Church, Greencastle.  Surviving are his wife Mrs. Bessie Mowen; children Mrs.,
Charles Enders, Huntingdon, PA; Wilbur Mowen,Cumberland, PA; Mrs. Edwin S. Kline
Waynesboro; Miss Effie Mowen Atlanta, Ga; Roy and Ira at home; sister Mrs. Annie
France, Hagerstown, and brothers Melchor Mowen, Wilson’s and Harvey Mowen,
Cearfoss; Funeral services will be held at the First U.B. Church at Greencastle
Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.  Burial will be in the Dunkard cemetery in
Upton.

Additional Comments:
This is David Franklin Mowen – not David “S”; David was the son of Elias and
Hadasiah (Willis) Mowen.  He was born 1856-1857 in Washington County, Maryland.
His wife's name, Bessie, is in error.  She was Hadasiah "Dessie"  Virginia
Mowen, daughter of Libni Mowen and Susan Virginia Carbaugh.

Mrs. Charles Enders is daughter Hazel , Mrs. Edwin Kline is daughter Elisie.
