R. 1 this morning at 8:45 am. from hardening of the arteries following an illness of 14 months. He was born in Baltimore, October 4, 1852 and spent his boyhood days near Emmitsburg, later moving to this section. He has been working a farm near here for the past four years. Prior to that time he resided at Rock Forge. He was a member of the Luthern Church in Rouzerville. In addition to his widow, Mrs. Vermenia Muth, he leaves five sons: John, Alliance, Oh.; Levi, Monterey; Mrs. Bessie Harbaugh, Rouzerville; Mrs. Paul Miner, R. R. 1; Mrs. I. E. Harbaugh and Mrs. John Minnich, R. R. 4. Forty-three grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren also survive. Friends and relatives will leave the home at 1:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and accompanying the body to the Rouzerville where services will be conducted by Rev. H. C. Coffelt. Burial will be made in Burns Hill Cemetery. Muth Funeral The funeral of Augustus Muth will be held tomorrow afternoon in the Luthern church at Rouzerville by Rev. H. C. Coffelt. Friends and relatives will conduct the body from the home at one o'clock. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery. The Ballbearers will be Emory Muth, Kenneth Muth, Harvey Fitz, Roland Harbaugh, Claude Harbaugh, and Wilbur Muth. _____________ undated obit about 1927 Mrs. Vermenia M. Eyler Muth aged 74 years, widow of the late Augustus Muth who died last December, died at her home 1 1/2 miles northeast of town yesterday afternoon at 3:15 from infirmities of age and complications. She had been in ill health for the last eight months and confined to her bed for the last 3 days. She was born near Friends Creek, MD the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Eyler, but during the greater part of her life resided in the vicinity which she died. She was a member of the United Brethern Chruch and had a host of friends. She is survived by the following children, Mrs. Harvey J. Fitz of Monterey, John Muth of Waynesboro R. R. 1, Mrs. Albert Harbaugh of Rouzerville, Mrs. John Minnich of Wayne Heights, Emory E. of R.D. 1 and Mrs. Paul Miner, R. D. 1 and 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Luthern church in Rouzerville, Friday at 11:00 AM. Rev H. F. Coffelt will be in charge and friends and relatives are meeting at the home at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Burns Hill Cemetery. _________
