Viola M. Neil

  Viola M. Neil, 84, of 16720 Dry Run Road, Dry Run, PA, died Tuesday, 
August 22, at home.
  Funeral Services were held on Friday, August 25, at the Agett-Geisel 
Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run. The Rev. Dr. Meagan Boozer 
officiated. Interment will follow in Upper Path Valley Cemetery.
  She was born on January 17, 1922 in Blair Four, PA and she was a 
daughter of the late Towner W. Oberlander and Mary Moore Guyer.
  Mrs. Neil's husband, Albert L. Neil preceded her in death on June 11, 
1992.
  She is survived by ten children, Rev. Marlin "Butch" Neil of Spring 
Run, G. Mark Neil of Dry Run, Greg A. Neil and wife Cindy of 
Shippensburg; Jeff L. Neil and wife Lucy of Orrstown; Joyce 
Sollenberger and husband Menno of Chambersburg; Shirley Newlin and 
husband Henry of Chambersburg; Phyllis Eckenrode and husband Gary of 
Concord; Wilma Umbrell and husband Donald of Spring Run; Angela Briggs 
of Beaver Springs, and Christina Ives of Fannettsburg, a daughter-in-
law Dortha E. Neil of Chambersburg,
  Mrs. Neil is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, and twenty 
great-grandchildren.
  She is also survived by three siblings, Arlene Guyer of Fannettsburg; 
Norman Guyer of Greencastle, and Elton Jr. Guyer of McConnellsburg.
  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 
a daughter, Anna M. Melvin on January 14, 1986, a son, W. Eugene Neil 
on August 14, 2006, and two half brothers.
  She attended Mt. Etna and Yellow Spring Schools.
  A homemaker, Viola enjoyed reading and puzzle and game books.
