NELSON, of Winchester, Va., died in Greencastle on Monday morning last. Rev. Nelson had been in feeble health for almost a year, and his death was not unexpected to his friends. He was aged about 80 years. Rev. Nelson was well-known to the people of this county, having been pastor of the Otterbein United Brethren church of Greencastle for several years. During his pastorate there the new church was erected. He himself did much of the carpenter work on the building, in that way sparing the church the expense of one hand. Rev. Nelson was beloved by his people and all who knew him. He was kind and courteous, a true friend and an earnest laborer in the cause of the Master. His death will be mourned by a large circle of warm friends. The funeral was held Wednesday. The remains were buried at Hagerstown. People's Register, Chambersburg, PA, October 23, 1896
