Mrs. Margaret Nicklas, wife of Joseph Nicklas, died at her home near Lesher's school house, about one and a half miles south of Chambersburg, on Tuesday morning, aged 53 years, 11 months and 1 day. She had been ill for a long time. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hawbecker, who for many years lived in Marion. She was a member of the First U. B. church of Chambersburg, in which church her funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Joseph O., of Pittsburg; Mrs. Overcash, of near Chambersburg; Mrs. Reed Kohler and Mrs. Oscar Clark, of Fayetteville; Nannie, Rhetta, Lulu, Elva and Milton C., at home. She was laid to rest in Cedar Grove cemetery on Thursday. People's Register, Chambersburg, PA, September 5, 1902
