"Dick" Noll Sr., 65, of Caledonia Manor Nursing Home, Fayetteville, and of 9199 Gap Road, Waynesboro, died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, De. 8, 1993, in the nursing home. He was in failing health since June 1991, and critically ill since November. Born Dec. 14, 1927, in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late J. Ralph and Annie Bell Carr Noll. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area. He formerly worked for his brother-in-law, Ralph E. Helm, in the Waynesboro Abattoir, and then worked for Acme stores in Waynesboro, Chambersburg and Shippensburg. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro; Eagles Club Inc.; and American Association of Retired Persons. He was a life member of National Rifle Association and Order of the Owls Nest 1073, Waynesboro. He and his wife, Mary W. Layne Noll, were married Aug, 18, 1947. They lived at the Gap Road residence since 1948. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna Lee Kline, and a son, Richard L. Jr., both of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Madalyn Helm of Waynesboro; and two brothers, Adrian and James E., both of Waynesboro. A sister preceded him in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Rev. Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. Visitation will be one hour before the service Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 96 W. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
