His wife [Julia A. CARR Palmer]; two daughters, Mrs. Geo. [Laura] Harmony and Miss Nellie and one son, Leslie survive him. Mr. Palmer was raised in Greencastle, where his relatives now live, and moved here some years ago. He was a member of First Lutheran church and was a good man, with many friends who regret his death. Funeral on Thursday at 10 a.m.; interment at Cedar Grove [Chambersburg]. Public Opinion, Chambersburg, PA, May 1896
