Peters Raymond Joseph Peters, 55, Chambersburg R.D. 1 died at 11 last night at his home at Ragged Edge. He had been ill for the last four months following a heart attack and had been confined to the Chambersburg Hospital for five weeks. He returned home, and May 4 was returned to the hospital for a week. Mr. Peters was born in Waynesboro, son of William J. and Rachel (Koons) Peters. Most of his life was lived in Waynesboro. He was an electrician by trade and followed that occupation most of his life. Mr. Peters was employed by the A. G. Crunkleton Electric Company, Greencastle, and for the last six years was employed by J. J. Alleman, Chambersburg. He had resided at his last residence for the last two years. He was a member of the King Street United Brethren Church. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Eagles Club Inc., Order of Owls and the Mechanics Fire Company. Surviving are his wife, Edna Sprenkle (Davidson Peters and these children by a former marriage, Charles E., Newville; Mrs. Norman Fridinger, New Oxford; Mrs. Joy Schroyer, Carl, Clarence, Victoria and Ruth, all of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters, Donald D., William A., both of Thurmont; Leo F., Newville; Mrs. Charles Gates, Mrs. Woodrow Mowen, both of Waynesboro; Mrs. Norman Pentz, Chambersburg R. D. 6; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert E. Benchoff, Waynesboro; one step grandson and a stap great- granddaughter. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Dr. Clyde W. Meadows and the Rev Ray Miller. Interment will be in the Burns Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday night from 7 until 9 o'clock at the funeral home.
