All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/franklin/ _______________________________________________ William Joseph Peters, aged 61 years, a former Waynesboro resident, died at 5:45 o’clock Sunday evening at his home near Thurmont, of Lobar pneumonia. He was taken ill last Tuesday. He was born February 15, 1874, near Emmitsburg. While still a boy he removed to Waynesboro where he lived until about three years ago when he moved to near Thurmont. Mr. Peters, a painter by trade, was a member of the St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Waynesboro, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, Rachael (Koons) Peters, and these children, Raymond, Mrs. Norman Pentz, Donald B., Leo F., all of Waynesboro; William A., Isabelle and Agatha V., at home. Three grandchildren, two brothers, John and Bernard, Emmitsburg, and sister, Mrs. Claudia Rosensteel, Emitsburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. Interment will be made in Green Hill Cemetery. The body may be viewed Tuesday evening between the hours of 7 and 9 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Norman Pentz, 216 ˝ Park Street. Newspaper Clipping – Name of Paper Unknown May 12, 1935
