Samuel Rider, of Waynesboro, died on Saturday evening from the infirmities of 
old age, aged 84 years and 25 days.  Mr. Rider was born at Bonneauville, Oct. 
16, 1815, where he learned the trade of stone mason, and in the spring of 1837 
located in Waynesboro.  The deceased is survived by 5 children - 3 sons and 2 
daughters.
