Shockey, 82, of 356 Main St., died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday morning after a long illness. He was born in Ringgold, a son of John H. and Ruth Pryor Shockey. He and the former Nettie Keckler Shockey would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary today. He had been employed at Frick Company for 35 years, retiring in 1957. He was a member of Wayne Heights Brethren Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by son, Donald of Waynesboro, Rt. 3; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Trostle of Waynesboro, Mrs. Hazel Toms of Shippensburg, Pa. Services will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro. The Rev. John B. Mills will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
