Shockey, 256 Park St. [Waynesboro, PA], died at 5:35 a.m. today [10 Oct. 1961] at the Waynesboro Hospital. She had been suffering from a heart condition since April 1959 and had been critically ill the last four weeks. She was admitted to the hospital September 23. Mrs. Shockey was born in Greencastle, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Weaver Pentz and the late Howard D[avid] Pentz. Her early life was lived in the Greencastle area. After her marriage she had resided in Waynesboro. During World War II the Shockeys lived in Washington five years and then returned here. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Young Women's Class of the Sunday School. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Robert P. Shockey, at home; mother, Greencastle RD#3, and two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Evelyn M. Miller, Harrisburg; Mrs. Clarence S. Dehart, Zullinger, and Irvin L. Pentz, Greencastle RD#3. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Glenn L. Stahl. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
