Baker Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, WVA. He had been ill for several years, on Monday was admitted to the hospital. He died unexpectadley. He was born at Waynesboro Rt 4 the son of Elmer H. and Ivy C. Shockey. All of his life was lived in the Waynesboro vacinity. He was employed as a caddy-master by the Monterey Golf Club when a boy and was later employed by the White Swan Tavern, and as a meat cutter at Sulanke's. Before enlisting in the Army he had been employed irregularly due to his health. He was a member of Calvary Chapel, Beartown. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Rose Ellen Calimer of Waynesboro, his parents of Waynesboro with whom he had made his home; these brothers and sisters; Christian Shockey of Lantz MD; Richard S. of Waynesboro, Rt 4, Mrs. Melvin Mills of Monterey, Mrs. John Hampton, Mrs. Paul Price and Mrs. Robert Reed, all of Waynesboro Rt 4.
