NEWELL - Nettie E. Shores, 89, of Franklin County Nursing Home, died at 7:20 
a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 1987, in Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 19, 1898, in 
Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Estella Heess Newell. 
She attended Antrim Assemble of God Church, Greencastle. She was preceded in 
death by two husbands, Charles W. Flory, in September 1935, and Frank shores, 
in July 1956. Surviving are three daughters, Beulah Evans and Martha [Mrs. 
Michael] Helman, both of Chambersburg, and Elsie [Mrs. Tom] Lindquist of 
Miami, Fla.; four sons, Carl Flory of Waynesboro, Clarence Lester Flory of 
Shippensburg, Charles Irvin Flory of Marion and William Flory of 
Chambersburg; 17 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and two 
sisters, Beatrice Oberholzer of Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, and Leda 
Starr of Waynesboro. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Park-Geisel 
Funeral Home Inc. The Rev. William Kauffman will officiate. Burial will be in 
Mount Pleasant Cemetery, near Scotland. Visitation will be in the funeral 
home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
