David Tice died at his home near Pinefield school house on Wednesday, March 24, 
1897, from an attack of grip, aged 82 years, 3 months and 29 days.  He was twice 
married, his second wife, Miss Agnes Davis and the following children surviving:  
Henry, Nebraska; Joseph, David, Alonzo, Illinois; Mrs. John Benchoff, 
Shadygrove; Mrs. Cordell, Upton; Samuel, Greencastle; Bessie, Sarah, Maggie and 
Ecadel, at home, another daughter near Upton, and one sister Mrs. J. R. Mace, 
who resides in Hagerstown.  Funeral took place on Saturday the 28th.  Interment 
in M-sedonia graveyard.
