Tolbert died at his home on East Washington street on Thursday morning, aged 58 years, 7 months and 14 days. Mr. Tolbert's health began failing a year ago and he gradually grew worse, passing away peacefully at the time named. Mr. Tolbert was born in Chambersburg and for a number of years was engaged in the hardware business, being associated with his father, the late Robert E. Tolbert. He was a director in the Taylor Engineering Company for a number of years and served as a member of the Chambersburg School Board for a period of 12 years. His wife, who was a daughter of the late A. H. McCulloh, died in 1883. He is survived by two sisters, Miss Emma S. and Miss Eliza E. and by one brother J. Robert, all of town. He will be buried on Monday afternoon.
