Treher, 76, formerly of Fayetteville, died Tuesday morning at 2:40 at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Shoop, Chambersburg R. 6, after having been ill since August 1. Born in New Cumberland, March 2, 1879, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Amanda Marchette Slaybaugh. She was a member of the Fayetteville Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving are seven sons and daughters, Roy D. Treher, Fayetteville; Mrs. Thomas S. Shoop, and Miss Hester A. Treher, Chambersburg R. 6; A. Fred Treher, Easton; Mrs Corban H. Tabler, Quincy; T. Richard Treher, Gettysburg; Charles W. Treher, Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Shelley, Camp Hill andMrs. Stella Strausner, Philadelphia. Funeral services Friday at 10 o’clock am from the Barbour Funeral Home, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Jay W. Yohe officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hall Cemetery.
