Vanderau, 71, 4663 Church Road, who died at 8:56 a.m. Jan. 28, 1981, in the Chambersburg Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Open Door Church with the Rev. Dr. Dino Pedrone officiating. Burial will be in New Guilford Cemetery. Friends may call at the John O. Park Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church one hour before services Saturday. Mrs. Vanderau was born June 8, 1909, in Chambersburg, daughter of the late Thomas and Fannie Slonaker Yeager. She was a member of the Open Door Church and the Jolly Sixties. Surviving are her widower, Howard A. Vanderau; four children: Robert E. Vanderau, 2193 New Franklin Road; J. William Vanderau, Waynesboro; Mrs. Samuel [Joan] Keller, 4843 Burkholder Road; Lloyd Trump Vanderau, 1500 Brechbill Road; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six sisters: Mrs. Edward [Florence] Barnhart, Mrs. Pearl Ulrich and Mrs. Helen Stoops, all of Church Road; Mrs. Anna Miley, 286 W. Queen St.; Mrs. Daniel [Rose] Kauffman, 1131 Cider Press Road; Mrs. Allen [Beulah] Corwell, Burkholder Road; and a number of nieces and nephews.
