He had been in failing health for some months, but was seriously ill only about a week. Dr. Walker was born in Waynesboro and was the son of Dr. Thomas Walker. He spent his boyhood days there and on attaining manhood attended Jefferson Medical College, from which he graduated and on returning to Waynesboro, began practicing his profession. He remained there about a year and then removed to Adams county. Dr. Walker was married to a sister of the late Jeremiah Gordon, of near Shady Grove, and to them was born one son, Horace Walker, who removed to Dakota many years ago. In order to be with his son, the doctor went to Dakota about 25 years ago and remained there for about twenty years, when he returned to his old home at Fountain Dale, but did not long remain there until he went to Bedford City, Virginia, his son having come east and located there. He returned to Fountain Dale after remaining in Bedford City two years. Dr. Walker was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years but recently united with the Reformed church. His wife died several years ago. He was buried Monday at Fountain Dale. People's Register, Chambersburg, PA, October 3, 1902
