The home of Mr. and Mrs. John McFerren, Mont Alto, was the scene of a pleasant home wedding at high noon, Jan. 28, being the marriage of one of their daughters, Miss Amanda C. McFerren, to Mr. James H. Knepper, Mont Alto. Miss Clara C. Funk was bridesmaid and Mr. D. M. Brown best man. The bride wore a dark blue cashmere, trimmed with white satin. A very impressive ceremony was performed by Rev. J. W. Kiracofe. At the close of the ceremony, a sumptuous repast was served, consisting of turkey, chicken, ham, cakes, fruits, etc. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. John McFerren, Mrs. Sarah McFerren, Mrs. Malinda Knepper, Miss Maggie Knepper, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Mickley, Miss Fannie Rowe, Miss Clara C. Funk, Miss Laura Small, Mrs. Daniel Knepper, Mr. Chas. Allen, Mr. John Cassner, Jr., and D. M. Brown. A reception was given in the evening.
