The farm on which I now live shall be farmed, by my family so long as it remains unseparated, for the benefit of my estate, and if the family is separated and the direction thereof declined by my widow before the arrival of my son Abraham at the age of twenty one years, I order that the same be rented for the benefit of my estate, until that period, making all necessary reservations for my wife. – And, then if my wife has declined, otherwise as soon as she shall decline or leave the management or direction of my family I order and direct that the said farm with the appurtenances shall pass to and be vested in my said son Abraham to hold to him, his heirs or assigns forever he paying therefore such price in such manner and at such times as shall be fixed on by six respectable persons to be chosen for that purpose by my executors excepting two hundred and fifty pounds which are to remain as a lien upon the land during the widowhood of my wife, and not to be paid so long as she lives my widow. I give and bequeath to my son Jacob all my farm situate in the township aforesaid containing one hundred and fifty three acres more or less adjoining lands of Jacob Wilhelm, Conrad Beltz, John Wilson, and others, he paying therefore such price in such manner and at such times as shall be fixed on by six reputable persons chosen as above directed, as soon as the last payment which I have yet to make thereon shall come due, excepting three hundred pounds which are to remain as a lien upon the land during the widowhood of my wife. And at the time of such valuation, and not sooner, the said Jacob shall receive passion thereof to hold the same to him his heirs or assigns forever – And until that time it shall be rented by my executors -- I order and direct that at the marriage of any of my children my executors shall make such provision, and advance such portion of their respective shares of my estate as to them may seem reasonable and proper. If either, or both of my said sons Jacob and Abraham, shall refuse to take the land bequeathed to them at the appraisement, and terms which may be put on the respective farms. I order and direct that my executors or survivor of them dispose of the same by public or private sale. And I do authorize them or the survivor of them to make and execute sufficient deeds for the same – reserving whatsoever is herein before provided for my wife – I order and direct, that the proceeds of all my estate, real and personal shall be equally divided between all my children, to wit: Elizabeth, Jacob, Abraham, Christian, and Henry, after giving to my wife what is herein devised and allowed to her. I order and direct that the interest of the respective sums which are left as liens upon my farms, be punctually paid at the expiration of every year to my wife during her widowhood. I nominate, constitute and appoint my friends Frederick Shirk and Jacob Hegey executors of this my last Will and Testament.
