I, John Brechbill of Green Township in the County of Franklin in the State of Pennsylvania do make, declare and publish the following Testament in manner and form as follows to wit: First: I will and bequeath to my well beloved wife Anna all my estate real and personal to be enjoyed by her during her life with all the rents, issues, and profits thereof provided she does not get remarried after my death. Second: and my will is that my wife shall take counsel from my two brothers Christian and Jacob Brechbill and shall at all times make such use of the estate and property left by me to her in such manner as they or either of them may direct her. Third: and my will is that at the death of my wife my property be equally divided by my Executors between all of my children share and share and share alike and if at my death there be any of my children minors they as each of them become of lawful age to draw each one their share of the principal but if there may have any interest accrued on any share or shares the interest on each and all the shares to be reserved by my Executors until my youngest child shall become of lawful age and then all the interest that may have accrued from the shares of the minor children to be added together and equally divided among all my children. Fourth: and my will is that my Executors keep an account book and provided they see proper they may allow my wife to advance each of my children as they come of lawful age a part of what would be their share after her death but in no case shall any interest be charged on the on the advancements. And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my dear brothers Christian Breckbill and Jacob Brechbill Executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty. Wallace the subscriber and witnesses to the foregoing and within instrument of writing who being duly affirmed according to law did dispose and say that they were personally present and saw John Brechbill now dec’d write his name unto and heard him publish pronounce and declare the same as and for his last will and testament and that at the time of the doing thereof the said dec’d was of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding according to the best of their knowledge and belief and that their names there to subscribed as witnesses are in their own proper hands writing and done at the same time: also that the fifth clause of said instrument was erased before it was signed and declared as his last Will and Testament.
