Will Book B, Page 231 Will of Samuel FINDLEY In the name of God amen. I Samuel Findley of Peters Township in Franklin County state of Pennsylvania being of sound mind memory & judgment as usual do think proper to make this my last will and testament in writing disposing of what worldly estate I am possessed of in the following manner after my just debts and funeral expenses is paid. Viz: I allow my executors hereafter named as soon after my decease as convenient at their discretion when they think it will be -- - greatest advantage to increase the aforesaid estate most to sell my estate both real and personal at public sale excepting my two tracts of land the one at the mouth of Loyalhannah in Westmoreland County the other in Northumberland County on the waters of Stump Creek in the new purchase these two tracts not to be sold to my son Nathan comes to the age of twenty one years and out of the money arising from all my estate aforesaid first I allow my executors to give Elizabeth Findlay, my niece, the sum of twenty five pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania within one year after my decease and all the remainder of my estate both real and personal I give and bequeath to my six sons ---- John, William, James, Jonathan, Thomas and Nathan to be equally divided amongst them to each an equal share my younger sons are to receive their ------ or shares, with interest on the same, my executors from one year after the money comes into their hands shall pay over my sons money or share to such guardians as my said younger sons shall choose to be by them put or kept at interest on sufficient securities to answer the aforesaid purpose. And it is my will that my executors or any one of them if the other is dead or removed to distant parts shall make sufficient titles for all my land sold as aforesaid to the purchasers thereof. And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my sons John Findley and William Findley to be the executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of October in the year seventeen hundred & ninety six.
